(Originally when excavated, this was numbered as Reg. II, Insula 1, no.5).

According to Della Corte, to the left of the doorway to number 5, above the appropriate coat of whitewash covering the bare brickwork of the façade, an interesting electoral programma written in black was found –

I.11.5 Pompeii. December 2007. Looking south across the atrium. In 1960 a ring seal in bronze with a trident relief with the name L. Habonius Primus on the opposite rectangular space, was found in the atrium. According to Stefani, the correct name for the house should be “Casa di L. Habonius Primus”. See Stefani G. in Guzzo, P. I.11.5 Pompeii. Square glass bottle with round neck, flared rim and with handle. It was used for oil. Inside was found a yellow coloured solid. Tests showed this was oil.  Now in Boscoreale Antiquarium. SAP Inventory number 12821. See Cibi e Sapori a Pompei e Dintorni, exhibition catalogue from Boscoreale Antiquarium, 2005, (p. 89, No. 105).
